Testing comes before prescribing. The first appointment covers your history and what brought you in, and lab work is ordered from there. Nothing is prescribed before results are back and gone through with you.
Care is clinician-led rather than protocol-driven. There is no default package that every patient is routed into. Recommendations are made by the clinician, with you in the room, once she has your results in front of her.
