Temples: One of the earliest and most telling signs of facial aging. Sculptra® restores temple volume that creates the angular, skull-revealing hollowness associated with significant weight loss and chronological aging. 1–2 vials typically sufficient.

Cheeks and midface: The central zone of facial youthfulness. As the cheek fat pads descend, the ogee curve flattens and the midface loses the projection that characterizes a youthful face. Sculptra® rebuilds the collagen foundation beneath the descended fat. 2–4 vials per treatment series typical.

Jawline and chin: Soft tissue laxity at the mandible and the softening of chin projection respond to Sculptra® collagen stimulation, producing firmer, more defined lower face contour without the immediate overloaded look of HA gel placement.

Neck: Neck skin laxity, horizontal bands, and crepey texture all reflect dermal collagen loss. Sculptra® stimulates dermal collagen in the neck without the structural risk of HA fillers placed in this area. Most effectively combined with PDO mono threads for synergistic scaffolding. 1–2 vials per session, 2–3 sessions.

Décolleté: The chest, fine lines, crepe texture, pigmentation, is the area that most clearly reveals a patient's age when the face has been restored. 1–2 vials of Sculptra® per session gradually improves chest skin quality and firmness over 3–6 months.

Standard facial protocol: 1 vial per decade of age across 2–3 sessions. A 45-year-old patient typically receives ~4–5 vials total across the series, distributed across the areas of greatest volume loss.

The 1-Vial-Per-Decade Guideline

The standard clinical guideline for Sculptra® facial treatment is 1 vial per decade of life for the initial correction series. A 40-year-old patient: approximately 4 vials total across 2–3 sessions. A 55-year-old patient with more significant volume loss: 5–6 vials. This is a guideline, not a formula, your clinician will assess your actual anatomy and degree of volume loss and confirm the appropriate vial count at consultation. Many patients require fewer vials than the guideline suggests if treatment begins earlier.
